Taking Action
There are many ways we can all take action to make FASD history!
For families and communities concerned your child or a child in your community may have physical, learning or behavioural issues related to FASD, contact the Marulu Unit to assist you with connecting with support agencies providing diagnosis and ongoing support. Families can also visit the Getting Support section of this website for further information. Taking action is vital! Early diagnosis and intervention of FASD and reducing early life trauma can reduce the impacts substantially. Identifying FASD in the first year of life and implementing strategies can reduce the chance of the mental health problems, unemployment and drug and alcohol abuse later in life.
